Radiating pain from tailbone down leg.....

Hi sisters. I have been having pain coming from my tailbone, going into my right hip, and radiating down my right leg to the point where I feel my leg go numb at times. It is truly hard to walk when this happens. I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo in Feb. 08 and I am currently taking Lupron Depot and Aygestin to help keep it at bay the best it can......considering a total hysterectomy soon also even though I know it is not a cure for endo. Anywho.....I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what you have experienced. I have been told that sciatic endo is not very common but I am truly unsure as to what this actually may be. My doctor knows I am having this pain but didn't really address it......

Any advice is always great and I am grateful for all of you.

is the Lupron the shot? are they giving it to you in you right buttocks? that could be it. maybe they hit a nerve. I have siatic pain on my right that goes down my leg and it makes my leg numb. thats from my endo being on my spin and everywhere else. I would think thats whats bothering your leg

Yes, they give me the Lupron but switch hips every month. It is in the upper right quadrant of the hip.

Radiating pain from tailbone down leg.....

its been 10 years since I was on it. I can't remember if I had that issue I did however gain a ton of weight. I would ask the OB if that is a possibility of them hitting a nerve

Radiating pain from tailbone down leg.....

I appreciate it sweetie. I have been lucky....I haven't gained any weight. I feel like a goodyear blimp though. Stay tired all of the time, feel like poo, and my doc and I are talking now about a hysterectomy (even though we all know that is not a cure for endo.) just to try and bring back my quality of life. I am definitely going to ask him next week when I go for my injection. I appreciate your info sweetie!

Radiating pain from tailbone down leg.....

My endo pain is left groin, back of leg, tailbone. I did steriod injections, mri and they could find nothing...so they tried Lupron.

I just got off 6 months of Lupron and it did help with my pain I described. I actually deflated on Lupron, lost weight and had energy again. Could the add back you are be giving you the problems?

The only strange pain I had on Lupron was...my heels felt like they had NO padding. Endo is just strange!

Radiating pain from tailbone down leg.....

I wish I knew honey. I don't like the way I feel at all since I have started taking Lupron and Aygestin. I actually feel worse than I ever did since I started taking this medicine. My doctor and I are actually considering a total hyst. even though we know it is not a cure for endo but it may help me. Since I cannot have children because of this terrible disease, I seriously considering that option. I just don't know what to do.

Are you taking Aygestin for hotflashes? My Dr wanted me just to do the Lupron alone, no hormones added...unless I could not handle it.

I am now on the Seasonale BC pill. I am giving it six months...then total hyst for me. I have only been on the pills for 6 days...not sure if it is goint to help or not?

It is a hard decision, I am dealing with it also. I just wish it was a gaurentee...but I know there is not one!

Yes, he wanted me to take that for the hot flashes and bone density loss. I tell you girl......it truly is a hard decision to make! But at least we know we are there for one another to talk to. :-)
