Can you tell everything is missing???

So I am going to have an lavh at the end of July. I have a question when you have your uterus and cervix out do you feel empty in there, do you even notice your missing anything?

Also when we have sex right now it hurts, will that go away since he won't be hitting those organs? Sorry if that is tmi, but just wanted to know.

Can you tell everything is missing???

Hi havehope,

I had a TVH and only kept my ovaries and I can't tell anything is missing. I am so glad I had it done. I sure don't miss the pain I was having every month.

I had alot of pain before the surgery and now I don't have any pain with sex after the surgery. The first couple of times was kinda sore but it got better after that. You may want to use some lube the first few times to make it easier and go slow as well. You may try different positions to start off with where you can control things.
I hope this helps you and take care and keep us posted how you are doing.

Kim

Thanks. Have you had any hormone issues? I know my dr says since he is leaving my left ovary I won't have hormone issues, just curious.

Is it really a noticeable dryness that you have?

Can you tell everything is missing???

I have both ovaries still so hormones are good for now. I didn't have much dryness at all. We just used the lube for the first couple times to make it easier on me.

I know my dr said if he takes my cervix my wetness will go. I am usually pretty abundant in my fluids, lol.

Can you tell everything is missing???

I noticed that for several days when I stood up, I felt like things were going to fall out, like a mailbox spilling the mail, so to speak. I sort of felt like this was due to things rearranging in my belly, and went away after a short period of time.

I didn't feel anything (inside). I wouldn't have believed I'd had surgery if I hadn't seen the video "Down there" I am probably in better shape that pre-surgery! Best of luck!

Can you tell everything is missing???

When I lay on my left side in bed I feel my tummy insides slide down towards my right side laying on the mattress. It is the strangest feeling but my doc said it will take sometime for everything to find its new home.

Hugs,
Tracy

I feel lighter in that area, which is a good thing. Otherwise I don't notice that anything feels in a different place, although from what I understand, things are indeed finding their new homes!

cant say I notice anything different from before to now when it comes to things ... a little lighter on the scales (but not sure how much of that is the organ removal vs my body droping the weight cause it was burning cals healing me.)

cant say about sex yet, been almost 3 years since i had any, but now that I have a sex drive ummmmm lets say tis hard to wait for my mate to come visite me.
