trigger point injections...

Hi Ladies,
I go to the pain clinic tomorrow morning for trigger point injections for the pain in my lower left tummy.
My gyn gave me injections a few months ago, they were steriods and lidocain and they didn't work for me. I was wondering if anyone has had these trigger point injections and if they worked for you? Also, are they painful? and why did they tell me to bring someone to drive me home? Do they sedate you for them?

Carmel, I didn't have the steroids but had lidocaine injected into my incision and it did freeze it and make it feel better, I was able to walk home afterwards.......I don't know if this will be the same with you, but best of luck sweetie
