incision infected 6 mths post op

Hi, I had surgery in Dec. and the night I was released I jumped out of bed (I heard a noise) and began to bleed from the rt side of my incision. Went to the ER they said it was okay and cleaned it up and sent me back home. All this time I have felt pain on that site. Well a couple of days ago I realized it was bleeding again. Not gushing blood but staining my clothes. It looks infected. I can see puss around the area. I have started to have what feels like cycsts as well. And I don't have any ovaries.......I called my dr's office and they cannot get me in until tomorrow afternoon. It looks as if it's opened up some as well. Any advice would be very helpful.

Lisa,
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems again. I'm not sure there is alot you can do until you see the doctor. I would suggest trying to keep the area dry, do not put anything on it as you don't know what the problem is. If it gets worse, do not hesitate to call your doctor. I had an incision open after one of my surgeries, but it was very early on. The doctor wanted to see me immediately, even opened his office on his afternoon off. Turns out I had a stitch problem, he pulled it than treated the small opening. Again, this was not at 6 months post op, but at week 1. Best wishes for your appt tomorrow.

Thank you, Kim. I actually had my d/h take me to the hospital today. I just got home a couple of hours ago. They gave me IV antibiotics and pain med.
I have adhesions again and they are not sure why my insicion opened up this late post op. I still have an appointment with my dr. tomorrow.
I wil post after I see him.
