sharp pains - lower right abdomen

I really really wish I had found this web site BEFORE I had my surgery. I had a LSH BSO on May 16. From start of post-menopausal spotting to surgery was about a week - so I didn't have a lot of time to think. My doc is retiring at the end of June and we are going on vacation in about 2 weeks - so he got me in fast. This is probably my 5th or 6th laparoscopic surgery - so I was pretty much expecting it to be like the others - it was except TONS easier. However, after reading posts here - I now know I totally overdid it during the last two weeks. I felt wonderful and other than the first 24 hours or so have never really felt like I had surgery - until a couple of days ago. I have sometime sharp - never long lasting - pains in my right abdomen. no fever, no nausea, no vomiting, no swelling. A lot of people I have talked to have said the same thing - but it still makes me wonder. Of course I called my doc first thing this AM - he is out of office all week!!! talked to a nurse - she didn't seem too concerned. So - any advice. this has hit me totally out of the blue - I felt perfect - and now I don't...and then I worry. Thanks for any insight. I hope I did this right.

sharp pains - lower right abdomen

I also have pains in my lower right abdomen, I had them for 3 years before my surgery too. I went to many doctors those last 3 years, and they ruled out many things like appendicitis, hernia, or many others. Just keep your doctor updated on how you are feeling, so that if it is something serious, you can address it in a timely manner. I hope your pain eases soon, heal well!
