Singin' Saturday, June 7

Good morning BEST friends...was on here earlier but saw another on here and figured they were starting the thread...they didn't, so I will now.

If nothing else, this leg of mine is keeping me out of the kitchen! And there is a crunching motion I do when pulling myself forward with the walker (it has a seat)...so I'm doing crunches like crazy...I can already feel my midriff firming! So there are blessings with this broke knee.

Breakfast - Cereal & milk
Snack - yogurt
Lunch - we're off to a wedding...so ???????
Dinner - Graduation party for the boy next door...?????

I will TRY to be good !

Hi Ali & all who are lurking today...

Sure is a hot one today I'm just not ready for this oppressive stuff -- we actually turned the air conditioner on to help us through the heat wave.

We took DgS out to see "Indiana Jones" today -- and, I was good. They actually sell really large water bottles there & I had that by myself. I did have a few handfuls of popcorn... but didn't want all that salt.

Food today:

B - kashi cereal w/ soy milk
S - popcorn & lots of water
L - hot dogs on whole wheat rolls
D - ?? we ate a late lunch... will probably just find some fruit later.

Exercise -- took the dogs out for their walk... I'm going to switch to the mornings for the next couple of days for them. I still need to get on the to get my steps in for the day. I need to cool off first.

Ali... sounds like you're making the BEST out of your situation

All right... off to veg out for a bit & get my second wind!

Hi Ali & Sue and anyone else peeking in

Food was NOT as good as this past week had been. Between the heat and a wedding this evening I am soooo puffy I actually got a few blisters on my toes from my shoes.

Today was the first time I forgot to put on my pedometer. I don' t know what happened but before I knew it, I saw it laying on the table and thought "why's it there"? So I had to use the conversion table to calculate all I did. I'm sure I did more steps, but oh well.

Bkft: didn't eat - was way too hot
Lunch: had a salad w/2 oz pepper jack cheese diced up into it. I DO NOT like the lite blue cheese dsg I bought. Has sorta an after taste or something. I'd rather have less of the regular stuff.
Dinner: 2 pcs spinich stromboli at home - a few o'horderves at the wedding (I was careful), 1/2 my ceaser salad, 1/3 whole grain dinner roll, chicken something or other w/wild rice and green & yellow squash. I enjoyed 1+1/2 glasses of white wine and plenty of ice water.

was all I can say about today. Tomrrow promises to be just as bad. I have pool vacuuming duty - hey, someone's gotta do it then I plan to paint the window frame to get it ready for our new hugh air conditioner (27,000 BTU's) to be installed on Monday. I plan to take it slow and easy.
