plantar fasciitis anyone?

just a quick update on my orthotics and plantar fasciitis: finally after several weeks of wearing orthotics in my running shoes (sometimes 3, 4, 5 hrs. a day, taking a break some days, wearing sandals)...they don't hurt anymore...yay! i wear them most days, sometimes for only a short time if it's really hot and humid and sometimes 8 hrs. a day if i'm out-of-town as i was this past weekend walking around stratford, ontario for my yearly "girls' only shakespeare getaway". my heel still hurts a bit, but not as much...my arch doesn't hurt at all anymore. also my shoulder is all better and my left knee almost better.

plantar fasciitis anyone?

I went through this and better shoes and a good pair of orthodics did the trick for me as well. Them things is expensive though...hoooweee they're expensive. I have birkenstocks that I wear as house slippers and they don't go outside. No more running around barefoot for me.

I just wanted to mention, did anybody talk about rolling your foot on a tennis ball? I was told to do that first thing in the morning before getting out of bed. I did it while I was having the problem and it did help. My friend uses a rolling pin. I guess it's the same idea.

plantar fasciitis anyone?

thanks me2.0...so true, my orthotics cost me $400. ... ouch! i saw a pair of clogs at the chiropractor/therapist office that i loved...the shape, the feel, not too clunky looking and the chiropractor said he would sell them to me for $400. ... they are sold with the custom orthotics! i think i'll just save up for now and continue to wear the orthotics in my runners. it was also suggested to me to roll my foot on a cold water bottle. for awhile i was soaking my feet in cold water in my scholl's footbath and that felt good too. i'm much better now...no more bare feet around the house for me or cheap shoes or flipflops, although i do yogadance in bare feet and it doesn't bother me (it's just for an hour). glad you're all fixed up me2.0! take care.
