almost 5 weeks and started bleeding

I am almost 5 weeks post op. Every thing has gone great. Feel really good. I have been exercising since about 2 weeks. I worked out on treadmill today and all was fine. Sat down to watch tv and got up to go to bathroom and have blood. Bright red. Coated a panty liner. Seems to have calmed down now. Any ideas. I don't feel bad or have any pain. Kinda worried. Any thougts let me know..Thanks

I am not sure hon, but if you kept your ovaries, the only thing I can think of is maybe you are having what they call a mini period? not sure though, best thing is to call your doctor and see what he says.

Its amazing that you were exercising since your 2 weeks post op was your doctor ok with this? just wondering...

let us know what your doctor says about the bleeding, pray all is well.

almost 5 weeks and started bleeding

I do have my ovaries but no cervix. I can still have many periods? I was so excited. We are leaving for Florida in 3 days. And I was thinking this is the first trip in which I didn't have to worry about my period. It has stopped now. Maybe ..and I am crossing my fingers it is some kind of flook....Just a last hahaha. from my body. About the exercise.. the Dr. does not know. I went for 1 week check-up and don't go back till 6 weeks. I felt so good after surgery I tried to go back to work after a week. But they made me stay home another week. I started working out real slow at 2 weeks and gradually worked up. I'm not doing any situps though. Thought I would wait till 6 weeks check-up for that.

Probably a sticth that got jarred out of place and is still healing at the vaginal cuff. It will stop as the irritation gets better.

If the bleeding continues or start having pains, please call your doctor and just ask him what it could be. better be safe than sorry.. it doesnt hurt to ask

have a wonderful time in Florida, BTW its very warm here now, bring lots of shorts and t-shirts and off course your bathing suit, and dont forget to put sun tan lotion

ps: just my think it would be a good idea to have your 6 week post op check before your vacation, to see you and to make sure you can go swimming. maybe you can go a few days earlier to your doctors .
