Bladder infection at 3-1/2 weeks

Yes, I have one. I am around 3 1/2 weeks post-op TVH and TOT. I have a severe bladder infection. Not fun!!!!! Gettting antibiotics.

Still have days I feel like doing nothing but lay around. I look forward to the days of having energy.

Will this infection, disrupt or hurt my recovery?

Bladder infection at 3-1/2 weeks

I had one at 3 weeks post-op as well. Made me feel really tired, but the antibiotics worked. Dr. told me that it happens alot when you have a catheter. I feel great now and I really don't think it did anything to hurt my recovery. Doctor didn't think so either.

Good luck honey. It will go away soon.

Take cranberry capsules. I swear they help a lot. I have not had another UTI since I began taking them!

They not only help to prevent but also help to speed recovery.

Take good care of yourself and be certain to follow all instruction re: hygiene, etc. Try to avoid any soaps with strong odors (I use unscented glycerin myself). Also try to pass a bit of urine after bathing as well.
