blood pressure

I went to see my thereapist today and they took my blood pressure and it was 144/101.I had my hysterectomy(tvh) on June 16th and my two week check up is on the 3rd of july.I still have pain and I have to admit there are times where I don't follow my discharge orders very well.but am wondering what the doc might do?

blood pressure

I had high blood pressure for a while following surgery and I know there are ladies here who've also experienced the same. I hope they'll be along soon to share!

In the meantime, if you try a Google Search of HysterSisters (towards the top right of this page) you'll find many threads to read through. Here's a link to one to start you off: http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...blood+pressure.

It's very difficult to say what you doctor may or may not do ~ mine did nothing as it gradually returned to normal (and has been fine ever since). Perhaps you could let us know after your visit tomorrow?

Please try to be as careful as possible, though, during these initial weeks of healing as you only get this one chance to heal properly.

Sending all good wishes!

You know I've wondered about that too. The highest my BP was 155/94 but that was pre op. Afterwards it was 125/62-80. Normal for me.
