Weight gain or loss post-op?

I stayed the same, but wonder if gaining weight will "catch up with me" as I have heard weight gain can be normal.

Weight gain or loss post-op?

I lost 15 lbs, prior to surgery, (worrying, pain, etc), so I decided may as well jump start at keeping it off. Salads, fruit, water, all the stuff that is good for you, but really doesn;t satisfy...... like a Dairy Queen Snickers Blizzard.

Weight gain or loss post-op?

I had my TAH BSO 4 1/2 weeks ago. I lost some weight from the big ole uterus and fibroids and also, my sweet tooth is so much better since my ovaries are GONE! Thank goodness. The ups and downs of hormones are awful. Now I am even.

I have lost at least 13 lbs and I have been careful not to overeat since I am resting so much. Not a lot of calories getting burned until I am normal and all healed.

Weight gain or loss post-op?

Well, last I checked I had lost 5 lbs... That was before the obsession with slim jims and slurpees! I'm afraid to look now... Eeek!

Weight gain or loss post-op?

I had lost several pounds before surgery and then shot up 10 pounds right afterwards (had to be fluids because I wasn't eating much of anything). The 10 pounds is slowly coming off. After a 1 1/2 weeks, I have lost nearly four of the pounds. It can't come off fast enough, but I'm just trying to be patient, drink lots of water, and give my body time to heal properly.

Weight gain or loss post-op?

I lost 10 lbs. due to decreased appetite shortly post-op. I have kept it off for 6 weeks, despite lack of exercise due to doc's orders. I'm attributing this to the fact that my new hot flashes are keeping me from drinking any alcohol (2 glasses of wine with dinner used to be routine). Guess that's the silver lining I should cling to amidst my hormone desert.

any weight loss is a blessing. I lost 10 lbs and at 6 weeks I haven't gained. But I am working on losing about 10 more lbs.
