Can rectocele be seen during surgery

Would my doc have seen "rectocele" while he was doing my SAH? And could it have been repaired then, Or is that something that happens after while healing?

Can rectocele be seen during surgery

I had a rectocele for years and my gyn did not ever notice it, so a lot of the time they cannot see it unless it is very severe. I had to ask to have mine done along with my TVH. He checked me by having me bear down while he was doing a pelvic. I had moderate rectocele. The rectocele repair was more painful than the hysterectomy.
