Ladies, please join me in thanking those responsible for this site!

To all who put time, money and knowledge into this site,

I wanted to assure all of you ladies that I deeply appreciate all that you have done for me. I know I would not have made it through my surgery and recovery if it had not been for this site!

I love you ladies dearly and consider each one of you special gifts from God. You are compassionate, loving and knowledgable. I am an educated person and have found extremely helpful, relevant and accurate info on this site. And I deeply appreciated the medical disclaimer at the top of each board, which is very clear to understand.

Working in a non-profit organization, I can appreciate all the unseen costs of a site like this. Unfortunately the general public usually can not see this. If I were a millionaire, your hystersisters store would be bought out! And once more, I think the cook book is a fantastic idea.

Please, keep up the great work. It is deeply and gratefully appreciated.

Love and God Bless all of you,

I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate this site and the work you all
do to keep it going for us. I don't know what I would have done without all of you and the
information I have gathered here. Ok so I like the lists about what to take to the
hospital etc. I find that I'm not so nervous knowing others are going through what I
am. Thank you all so much!

Thank you, Tinamarie!

Wow, ladies, what a lovely thread! Thank you Tinamarie, for starting this!

This Friday is one year that I've been here. I was 3 weeks post-op, and wondering why I felt worse. (My stitches inside were starting to dissolve). This site and the sisters here were my link to sanity, and I still continue to be blessed by all the wonderful ladies I meet and work with here. With new ladies always coming in, there is always someone else's experiences to learn from. We can all be different, yet united by our common surgery. And still, it seems to be so much more than just that.

God bless all of you!

s

This site is a godsend. Where else in the world can you get answers to your questions at 3:00 a.m.? Your doctor can give you all the medical information, but only someone who has experienced this can give you the real life information we all need. AND IT'S FREE!!! Free to anyone who needs or wants it. I know how much knowledge, experience, technology, expense and work it is to create and maintain a website. Like I said before, not all angels have wings and there are certainly a lot of angels connected with this website. I would have no problem if this website charged a membership fee. The information and peace of mind I have gotten from this website are priceless.

i could not be more thankful----

for the ability to find this site when i was "freaking out" after learning i had to have a tah with in 2 weeks of my doctors appt. i lived on this site for hours on end, reading others posts, chatting in the chat room.....it without a doubt helped me thru a very hard time in my life. it was wonderful to know i wasnt alone in my fear, or health problems. i have told many women about this site, and how incredible i believe it is for a support outlet. i once had trouble getting a post to register, i thought maybe i said something wrong, it is clearly stated that we MUST use good judgement when using this site........i contacted both kathy and susan and they were quick to respond to my emails, no i had not done anything wrong....just a glitch somewhere that they helped me work thru. i have looked over the cookbook page.....i think it is a great idea, it has many quick, easy to freeze meals for ideas...alot of us have worried how to get by without being able to cook for our families for awhile, and havent we all got tired of our own weekly meal menus???? keep up the GREAT work hostesses.........and THANK YOU!!!!!!!

It is impossible to express how deeply I feel about this site. I "clung" to it for dear life during the time I was waiting for my surgery date to arrive.

Thanks so much to all of you who are responsible for keeping it up and running and dealing with all the everyday issues that go along with such a big project. Kathy, I appreciate you beginning the whole thing and having the perserverence to make it the success it is.

I also am thankful for all the ladies that read and post. I have found so much information by just reading what others have written.

Thanks, Tina...for a chance to say thanks!

To one and all...This site has meant more to me than I can say. It has been a source of just about everything that makes life a banquet: caring, sharing, friendship, laughter, tears, good news, bad news, waiting and hoping and getting to the other side. I remember when I first found this site, I was just amazed and I worried aloud in one of my first posts that I was afraid I might want a hysterectomy just so I could "belong!"

When I joined I think there were just over 8, 000 members...now look at us!! WOW!!

I agree with you Tina. This site has been wonderful for the information I've read and the suport I've received from the sisters. There is no one else in my circle of friends who has had a hysterectomy so I haven't had anyone here to talk to. Not many people seem to realize what a major operation it is not to mention the psychological aspects that you have to deal with.I have to go back to work next week and I am not looking forward to it. It's been nice to be at home and catch up with all those things that I never seem to have time to do.
