Still having bladder issues 3 weeks post op.

I had my TVH with TVT on June 25. I am almost 3 weeks post op. I have had so many bladder issues since surgery. I had to come home with a catheter for the first week due to not being able to empty bladder at all. I was thrilled to get rid of that. Then I come home and it takes me forever to try and empty my bladder. I am still leaking urine. I thought that this procedure would help cure that. This is why I wanted to have this done. Now I think that my problem is worse than it was before surgery. I have told my Dr. this and he tells me to wait the full 6 weeks before he will look and see if something is wrong. He wants me to fully heal first. I am so frustrated. Has anyone else had the TVT done and still experienced leaking until fully healed and then everything was fine? I would love to hear something positive right now.

Hey Strawberry,
I leaked like a sieve for the first 3 weeks post-op, it about drove me around the bend. Then voila, one day it just stopped. Hasn't happened since. My surgery was a little different than yours and I didn't come home with a catheter, but I truly understand your frustration and concern. My leaking did go away though. I wish you luck, and may patience get you to the place where you want to be!

Strawberrygrl,

I'm still healing after complications following mine... so I can't really comment. BUT... I wanted to suggest that you check out the Pelvic Floor and Bladder forums. You will likely get better response about this specific issue there. The ladies are really nice.

However, I did want to say that you will need to give it the full 6 weeks to be sure where things stand. It's frustrating, but very necessary.
