Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, kept right ovary

I did have some input on my TLH. I had been having awful periods for several years. I tried the Mirena IUD in 2005, as well as the Novasure procedure in 2006... Needless to say, they were unsuccessful. I discussed my disappointment with my doctor and once she found some fibroids in my uterus, we both agreed to go this route.

I just had it yesterday. I am home now and feeling OK. I know that I can't overdo it! I am getting ready to lie down now...

Had to be there yesterday morning @ 6:30, went into surgery @ 7:30 for my TLH (kept my right ovary ~it was the only one I had). I remember waking up in the recovery room with the nurse asking me if I needed something for pain. I told her no a couple of times and she acted like she couldn't believe it. I got to my room about 10:45a.m. I did finally take some Vicodin as it was a little sensitive moving from one bed to another... Then all day long all I took was ibuprofen.

My doc came to check on me, I covinced her to heplock my IV and D/C my foley and I was up and walking the halls. Both the nurse and the CNAs were laughing and saying that if it weren't for my hospital band and my heplock, I would look like a regular visitor!!! They said if all there patients could be that good without prodding, their jobs would be easy.

Hope everyone else is healing well also...
