Prayers Needed

I have had chronic pain from ovarian cysts for three years. I finally had surgery last Friday. I was really excited, because I thought it would make my pain go away and that I can have a normal life again.

Now, it's almost a week later and I'm starting to worry that I will still have pain. I don't think I can deal with that - I looked forward to not being in pain for once.

I really believe in the power of prayer and I would appreciate all of your prayers.

You are so very close to having had surgery your body is still working on healing itself and will for a time yet, please do not get depressed or think this will be the norm if you still have pain, give your body time to heal and to move forward, any questions please, please call your doctor and go over them with him and also talk to your clergy about need for spiritual support.

I am sorry you are having pain. You are still early post-op, so it can take a couple of weeks for things to heal.
Are you taking something for the pain? I took my pain meds for several weeks. Surgery is hard on the body so perhaps you need to heal and things will get better after your complete recovery. Resting and not overdoing is very important during recovery as well.
