Prayer and advise is needed...about sister

Just one of the the things is, my sister and mother haven't gotten along in years. They are around each other only when my sister feels like it. There have been family issues involving my sister leaving her husband of 10 yrs, leaving her oldest daughter with her step dad for 6 months, and taking the yougest daughter with her when she left. this all happened Christmas of 2006 in June of 07 she finally picked up her oldest and took her with her. she was 15 at the time and let her boyfriend move in the house with my sister and her new boyfriend that she left her husband for. fast forward to October of 2007 my neice calls me at my work screaming and yelling and her boyfriend was banging on the door and finally got in the bedroom and my neice was screaming to him not to hit her in the face. (when I was a teenager I was in an abusive relationship for over a year, I still have nightmares and I'm 37) the phone got disconnected and I called back to no answer and I called my sister and just let her have it from one end to another, I couldn't stop screaming at her, I also called my father who was in the hospital in another city with my mother who has had eye problems. My sister called me back and said that she was going to her counciling appointment and that she would deal with it when she got home. My parents got back from the hospital and called the sheriff because my boss suggested that my father not go down there alone, so he called the county sheriff in the county where they live and talked with the sheriff and he went out to the house and my neice said the boy never hit her but the bedroom door was bashed in. My sister said that we (my parents and I) embarrised her and she didn't talk to us or let her daughter talk to us until Dec 26, 2007, my parents have been on roller coaster rides with her emotionaly and she holds my neice over them to do what she wants.

Now what I need prayer for is I have told my mother that I would take her to go see her mother who lives about 5 1/2 hours away to spend the weekend because she is in a nursing home. She was trying to be nice and invited my sister and her girls to come with us that we would take my mothers car and she will pay gas and everything. My sister emails me and says that she wants to go but my mother can't and if my grandmother dies before she gets to see her, she will blame my mother for her not seeing her because she will not stay home.

What do I do??? I need prayer and advise or something...I have been dealing with my sister's unbalance all my life. I have no one I can talk to, my husband says he can't hear it anymore because he thinks she has marbles loose and he will not go near her.

I am so sorry or all the family upheaval and hurt. I will keep you lifted in prayer. Prayers for peace, guidance and most of all, God's will in the situation.

Whatever "advice" I could offer is tainted by the fact that there is a lot of family history with a lot of emotional hurt and it would seem, blackmail. So instead of advice that would probably be off the mark, I offer the best thing possible, prayer, prayer and more prayer.

I would try to get to a quiet place, where ever that may be for you, and allow the Lord's quiet stillness and voice to minister to your need and lead you in how He would have you go.

the reason you decided to go was for your mom to see her mom right? thats whats important, its very nice of you to take your mom, if your sister doesnt want to go, its her choice, besides, if she is going to make the trip unbearable for your mom, then its better for her not to go and go at a later date.
your sister needs to grow up and stop blaming your parents for everything...I have a brother like that too, and all my life I have been dealing with it,(like you)...

Thank You Both, 4hisglory and believerchick!! I have been praying, it is in GOD's hands, and I'm sitting on mine! Sometimes you get tired of dealing with it and you just want to wash your hands of the whole thing and I probably would but I need to take care of my parents they are getting older and both have diabietes.

Just an update on things, my sister and I aren't talking and I took my mother to see her mother and a brother that lives even futher away, she loved it and I loved it. I am glad we went and my grandmother hugged my neck and told me she loved me. I know that sounds selfish she has dementia and I am glad she still knows me. She is the best Meamow anyone could ever have. Thank you for your prayers and listening to me!!! I really love YALL!
