is it possible to have adenomyosis with no pain?

After an unsuccessful EA and getting a shot of Depo Provera--that made no difference in stopping my sporadic bleeding, my doctor now says I probably have adenomyosis. But from everything I have read one of the main symptoms of adenomyosis is pain and cramping. I never cramp during my periods. Could I still have adenomyosis?

Yes, I believe you can have adenomyosis without pain. I had endometriosis with no pain. Sometimes we have conditions without all of the symptoms!

I would suggest a second opinion at this point. I have read that MRIs can be helpful in detecting adenomyosis but pretty much the only way to know 100% sure is with pathology AFTER a hysterectomy! So you want to have some good medical advice to help you decide what to might be going on so can go over the options that might be helpful for you!

We do have some Adenomyosis Resources you might find helpful!

My doc only suspected adenomyosis. He did a hysteroscopy and it came back negative! then did the hysterectomy at my insistence and it was adenomyoma. Not sure the difference but he just had a gut feeling and went with it!
