Bladder leakage

Has anyone experienced any bladder leakage? I'm going on week 2 post op and when I stand, a little urine passes and I have no control over it. It is very embarrassing and I pray this goes away. I am already wearing a pad due to bleeding that just started (which my doc checked out and is okay) and now I'm passing urine?

I also experienced this. I was so afraid that I was going to have long term problems. I haven't. I still don't have that "urge" to pee yet. I either have to go based on the clock, or notice that my stomach is killing me.

My wonderful Dr. said that sometimes the bladder is traumatized (sp?) during surgery from all the moving around, but things would go back to normal.

Sorry to hear that you have started bleeding.

Bladder leakage

Nancbear, I leaked the same way for 3 weeks after my surgery, and then voila, it stopped! I would just get up and pee would come out, or I would shift in my seat or in the bed, I mean it happened alot. For some of us, it just takes the bladder awhile to wake up, and the bladder sphincters can also get traumatized. Again, mine stopped at week 3, and it hasn't happened again. Not one single time. Be patient Nancbear.

nancbear....hang in there girl, your bladder has been through alot. My doc said that it has to be "pealed" away from the uterus or something like that and so it has lots of healing to do!

Thanks for letting me know your experiences, I have had no pain and I do have the urge to go, but it is a weird feeling when you move, shift or stand the pee just comes out. I will be patient and hope it goes away. Thanks!!!!
