*blush* Have you notice a change...

Hi Sisters,

Has anyone noticed a change in your own personal odor and a change in taste? We've noticed absolutely no smell and no taste. Not that either DH or I are complaining, but I thought it odd and wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

Also, has anyone noticed a change in sensitivity to temperature? For as long as I can remember I've always been able to overheat. Window open in the winter, thrown back covers on the bed, etc. After my hyster, I've been almost the exact opposite. Blanket wrapped around me in my AC house, extra blanket on the bed, etc. DH teases that my uterus must have been my own personal internal heat source.

LOL
Yes- I noticed a change, for the better!
Pre hyster I always carried a sweater everywhere. Was always chilly when everyone else was hot. Post hyster I was able to lose the sweater and find I am more "normal".
Hugs, news

Yeah I have noticed I am not as hot as I use to feel. Now I am noticing I am more cooler. I use to always want to crank up the air conditioner and would always regret it when the electric bill came in but know I am not touching because I feel fine. A plus even saving money.HE HE

Whew! Well it sounds like without my uterus was causing a bit of problems with my sensitivity to temperatures. How funny!

Anyone experience changes in odor???

I am not sure about odors yet, only a little over three weeks, but if I do I will share.

Actually the sensitivity to temperature is all part of the healing process from major surgery. In about 6-9 months your body may readjust back to how it was prior to the surgery. I found this out during each of the major surgeries I had (1st was to remove a gallbladder in 1988, then my left ovary in 1991). I was told by both surgeons that changes in temperature perception is not unusual and usually does not last longer than 9 months.

Oh, darn! I was actually enjoying not sweating anytime the temperature is over 80 degrees. *sigh* Oh well!

I hope for you it will be different. It wasn't for me. Each time I reverted back to pre-surgery temperature perceptions.
