pain during intercourse-5 mos. post op hysterectomy and bladder lift

I had a hysterectomy and bladder lift in February. I'mhaving pain and pressure during intercourse, will this go away? Is this normal?

Welcome to Hystersisters! I'm sorry you're having problems. Have you talked to your dr about your pain? There are a lot of different reasons you could have it. Even dryness can contribute to it, but if you have an area that isn't healed properly that could also cause continuing pain. Did it start right away after surgery or has it come on recently?

I think you need to make an appt with your dr and have this checked out. Often there are conditions that can be treated to alleviate pain during sex. There are also circumstances where healing is prolonged for some reason. Five months seems like a long time I know, but it can take six months to a yr to heal completely, especially if you had any complications in your recovery.
