7 weeks out and tired

ellis115,
I'm only at 5 weeks, but I find that shopping really tires me out! Even more than walking 2-3 miles. I think it comes from pushing the cart, bending and picking things up and all the walking. It's very frustrating! Good luck when you go back to work. Take it slow if you can.

Hi Ellis,

Truly 7 weeks post op is still only early in the grand scheme of things. You need to remember your body has been through much trauma and you were possibly not well prior to surgery. It's often said it takes a year to fully get over this surgery and that's close to the mark. You need to remember after being under restrictions for so long your body has adjustments to make. I found I felt great but then I'd have days where I felt so exhausted by doing so little. The best thing to do is listen to your body and if it says rest do so. I found this went on for months but as time goes on these moments of tiredness get less. Another reason for the tiredness could be that your ovaries even though intact could still be not functioning as well as they should yet as can quite often happen.

Take care.............Karen
