severe cramps post ovary removal

Hi Ladies, I'm new to this website and excited to find so much information. I have a question that I hope someone can answer.

A couple of years ago I had my right ovary removed along with a cyst. This was done laparoscopically. All was good and I went back to work the following week with no pain.

I just had my left ovary and a cyst removed last week and this was done laparascopically as well. It has been 9 days and I am still experiencing a great deal of pain. It's a good thing I'm a teacher, because I'm nowhere ready to go back to work. I went to the doctor today and he said it is my pelvic muscle that is sore. But what it feels like is severe cramps!

Has anyone else experienced this sort of pain? How long did it last? I was sure this surgery would be as easy as the last one, but that is not the case.

Ladybo22, I'm sorry your having so much pain to deal with. I didn't experience that type of pain but hopefully someone will be along with some info for you. If it doesn't go away soon I would be calling the dr back. I hope your feeling better soon. Keep us posted.
