Went to pre op appt today........

Well, here is what the report said that the Doc was gonna do......1) Pelvic Laparotomy,Lysis of adhesions,Electrocauterization of endometriosis,Cystoscopy with a possibility of Bilateral Ureteral Catheterization. WOW I am really scared now. They told me at the hospital that I might have to stay a few days I was hoping to go home that day. I have some new symptoms developing......I have pain in the middle of my back (upper) and the back of my neck hurts,,,,,has anyone had this before? Hope it is not my lungs YIKES. My bf is still ignoring me which hurts really bad, I don't know which pain is worse the physical or the emotional. Any advise from a sister would really help with these new symptoms...........I hope that everyone is pain free today or at least it is tolerable. Emerson

I have been reading your posts and know you have been having a hard time lately. I hope the surgery brings you some much needed relief. Maybe all the stress you have had lately is causing your new symptoms. But, it never hurts to mention it to the Dr.

I have very bad lower back problems with nerouve and muskular problems some of the doctors say it has something to do with the endo some they no it is a diffrent sorry. But what I was thinking is that you are stressed out because of you upcoming surgery and you getting very tence. I would talk to the doctor and my ask him if it would be ok to take something to calm you down. I sure hope you doing ok... We all are thinking of you on the 14of August. at 9am...

Lilliput........I had a chest x-ray today and I saw something on there that did not look right (Really stressed now) The x-ray tech of course could not tell me anything but now I am really scared. This was part of my pre-op. I am already taking 100mg of Darvacet and that is not even touching the pain in my neck and upper back............He is gonna call me today with anything that looks suspicious so that we can treat it before the surg on the 14th. Sorry to be graphic but my urine sample was pretty dark in color also ........... Emerson

dark urine could be lots of things (from dehydrated to kidney problems), did you get any results yet? I am thinking of you! I have back and neck pain as well, but always blamed it on my MS, but maybe it is endo related.
I wish you fast healing vibes on Thursday, it's my turn "under the knife" on Friday.
oh, and for the pain, I hope your doctor can get you something that works! I have found a few things that work for me quite well besides a heating pad and advil. If you would like suggestions, let me know, pm me is OK too.

Is your pain right between your shoulder blades and the back of your skull? It almost feels like something is in there pulling. Sometimes it hurts to breathe. I hope that this is not too graphic but it almost feels like my brain is swelling. It also feels like someone took a baseball bat and hit my right between the shoulder blades. I stopped taking the darvaset for pain, it feels a little bit better but not much. The pain killers were barley taking off the pain for the endo so I quit taking it. Write me soon and let me know how you are k? BF is still ignoring me ...that still hurts awful too. I feel so alone I would just love him to give me a hug, that would feel so great right now, well, I think about the way he used to hold me and kiss me and that is getting me through for now. I guess that I am just too ugly for him to look at. Emerson
