no hormone therapy

My questin I have is , has anyone had a hysterectomy and did not take hormones after. Did you have hot flashes, crackiness, and all the other symptons that go with the after surgery effects. My cancer doctor won't allow me to take hormones due to having had breast cancer that was fed by them

Everyone is different, some women don't have symptoms while others get them full force. Should you have symptoms such as hot flashes, crankiness, etc you should discuss with your doctor what would be okay for you to use. There are some supplements, that while they are not replacements for estrogen, they can help with some of the symptoms of menopause. There are some good articles at www.hormonejungle.com

Hi Embroidery Lady~ I am not taking any hormones after my TAH/BSO and am doing fine. Very few and mild symptoms thus far. I have always taken a multi vitamin but am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Good luck to you!

thanks for the info. I was a little concern. Just a little nerves about the surgery, but I know I have to have it.
