Kinda gross question...

Ok here it goes. I noticed this happening more before my hysterectomy actually, and never got the guts up to ask my doctor about it. Every once in a while when I go to the bathroom, when I have to go number 2, but it just hasn't come out yet, the tissue in my vaginal opening swells up and sticks out. I got brave once and pushed it back in...and it is a really wierd sensation. ??? What could this be? Also, I am usually very pink down there, but when this happens everything turns a purpleish color. And if I stand up before I have gone number 2, I can feel everything slowing pushing back to normal. SO WIERD! I am usually never constipated. ??? Any one have any ideas???

Kinda gross question...

No it happens even if I have extremely loose stool and don't have to barely push at all, (wich is usally the case)...could it be something wrong with my bowels? Maybe they are swollen or something and pushing on my vaginal insides???

Sounds like this is something that needs to be addressed with your doctor. Doctors hear all kinds of stuff, just tell it like it is. If you are not going to take care of you, who is?

Kinda gross question...

I have the exact thing happening to me. I've been searching for days now and I believe it's a rectocele. I had this prior to my TAH, so if it is in fact a rectocele, that could have been repaired at the same time as my TAH, I'm going to be so P(*&^.
I don't really want to go through yet another surgery. Also I had my gallbladder removed in Jan this year, so I'm out of sick time at work.
I have printed out some material to take to my followup on Aug 25, I hope there is an easy alternative to correct whatever it may be.

Oh my!
I just read up on that and it does sound like what I have. UGGGG, I really don't want to have another surgery, but I don't like the way this feels, and how hard it is some times to go, it gets very swollen and uncomfortable. Anyone else have this??

I have not experienced what you describe. However, I have experienced something along the same lines. I have been so constipated to the point I could feel hardened feces when I insert a finger inside my vagina (repulsive, I know). And, I have to actually move it along in order to get relief and for it to come out. That lovely issue is called a rectocele as the other poster mentioned. Fun times. We should organize a meet and greet, a support group of sorts, in the ladies room of an upscale restaurant. ;-)

It is a good thing I did not know of these horrors prior to having my two children vaginally. Otherwise, I would have been an adopting fool like Angelina Jolie or the c-section queen, oh yeah, like Angelina Jolie too. LOL!
