Hernia

Dear Sisters,
I had my TAH on July 30th. About a week ago I noticed a bulge with pain at the incision site. I went to my doctor yesterday and had a catscan and found out I now have a hernia due to my weak abdominal wall. (I had 3 c-sections previously). I am pretty depressed about the situation. Surgery is not an option at this point due to now 4 abdominal surgeries. I will be wearing a binder constantly for a long time. Has anyone else experienced this? I could really use some support right now. Thank you all and I hope everyone is recovering well.

i had a hernia after an abdominal surgery. i had had a few previous abdominal surgeries and there was no problem repairing it. it was done in a day stay center under general anesthesia and i was home within a few short hours. a lot of times they will leave the hernia if it isnt causing pain or problems but if you want it repaired, you should see a general surgeon about it. good luck!
