Hugs Varekai. You will go through many emotions through the wait. The wait is the worst. You will do great and there is a brighter day on the other side.

waiting is the worst part. try to think about other things..keep yourself busy and especially your mind busy. the lsh is an amazing surgery..my recovery was very fast and i had no major problems at all.
i cant believe my lsh was almost 2 years ago..time has really flown. before you know it, you will be post-op.

Hi Varekai,
I know how you feel. I have been really nervous too, crying off and on etc. Seems like even more when people are being extra nice or helpful weird Huh!Sometimes we just need to know somebody else out there knows what we are going through and that we are not alone. You are not alone and god will be there with you to watch over you and keep provideing you with love and support throughout this whole process God bless you and have a better rest of the day Spencer

Oh I can relate to the emotional roller coaster. I haven't wanted more children for years, yet this weekend at the mall all of the babies seemed to draw me in. I wanted to look at them and I thought to myself....well this is it, not even a remote chance of having another. Weird to think like this now after all of the years. Then I have had crying spells. I have had angry moments. Today I feel all lovey dovey, called my husband just to say "I love you" would really like to just hug him at the moment. I'm still a month out and feel this way, I hope it gets better once I get farther through this and over the worst of the emotions (so I wish or hope). We leave for Florida next week maybe that will pass some of the worries away too.

Thanks everyone. It's comforting to know that I'm not weird or something. I also get emotional when I think about all the help I'll receive from others post-op.

I am scheduled for my hyst on the 22nd and I am very nervous! It has been very emotional and there have been rough and very teary times and great times with plenty of laughter! But what has helped me is focusing on God the most and not what is to come. Some days easier than others but that is what has been helping me face each day! I have a friend that had a hyst last December and that is the advise she gave me, because I was starting to show signs of depression before the hyst just like she had experienced. You will be in my prayers! God bless!!

Varekei and other sisters in waiting... hugs and happy thoughts. The 2 weeks prior to surgery is the worst (that and any prep you have to do the day before!). You will do fine. I freaked out for 2 weeks and thought the worst. I am 5 weeks post op today and feeling well and loving life again. You will come through this with flying colors and we are all here for you.

Thanks so much. As a christian I am focusing on God, but as you said, sometimes it's easy sometimes not. I'm trying to hand this over to God which isn't always an easy thing to do. However, through it all God will carry me.

Varekai--I had my LSH on Monday (8/11). I was also very nervous and nothing anyone said or did could calm me down. Well, it is now only 4 days later and I feel like a different person. I definitely think that (at least for me), the anticipation was the worst part.
