ureter stent

Has anyone had a stent placed in their ureter? I have one in for 6 weeks and was wondering what it was like to have it removed in the office.

ureter stent

Joyce Anne,
I have! Not once but twice! Once on May 22 then again on May 30. My story is a long drawn out kidney stone story. I can e-mail you all the details in another e-mail. My e-mail address is SnowPoet60@aol.com. As far as what it's like having it removed in the office, there is a little discomfort at first and then a little weird feeling, and then it's out. Quick and easy! No pain! And then just relief! That was my first experience with a stent. I was asleep for the second one because I was having a laser lithotripsy procedure, and the stent did not have a string for the doctor to pull. Honest! There is no pain! But there is a lot of relief!
Good luck! Let us know how your appointment went. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!
