Hi everyone,
I know I don't come on often but I needed advice/prayers from all my friends here. I have not been feeling great for a while but felt this was all do to family issues causing a lot of stress. I'm not even sure when they started. The past week or 2 I have noticed increased pelvic pressure, increasing abdominal pain, some bloating, increasing back pain & change in bowel habits. I realised these were some of the same signs I had before being diagnosed. I called my gyne/onc today & will see her wednesday. I am to get a CA125 but at my lab, quest, you are highly recommended to make an appointment. Naturally the first appointment I could get is for next friday Needless to say I am irate about that. Naturally cancerhead has me hysterical which isn't making me feel any better. Well I have vented long enough. Please send some prayers my way that this isn't a recurrance & if it is that it was caught early this time, unlike my original diagnosis. I almost made that 5 year mark recurrence free so I am thankful for that but really wanted that 5 year mark. If it is a recurrence my Kiki won't be here to help me this time.
Bertha - Hugs to all of you.

Sending prayers your way that it's nothing more than your body reacting to stress. Take some time out each day to do something special for YOU! Even if it's just 5 minutes to sit quietly and pray or meditate or just be in silence.

Bertha,
I'm so sorry you have been feeling unwell and have had family stress to deal with. As Vega said, let's all hope it is the stress causing your symptoms and not a recurrence. I can understand cancerhead making you hysterical and wish I could come and give you a hug. I don't pray, I'm afraid, but will be keeping everything crossed for you and sending positive thoughts your way. Keep us posted, lots of love to you x

((((Bertha)))) ,
I have had blood tests done at Quest and I did not need an appointment, I just showed up when they opened (6AM) and got it done with out much of a wait. Can you call and see if you can walk in and just make sure you go early? Or, is there another lab that you can just walk in? Waiting is so hard, hopefully they can accomadate you. I will be saying LOTS of prayers for you!

I agree with Barb - call again, and stress the importance of this blood test. See if you can be a walk in patient. Don't accept that you have to wait that long, for a simple test!
I hope that all turns out well for you

Hey BerthaC
I know exactly how you feel...I haven't been feeling the greatest myself. Saw my onc Fri and did the CA125, of which I won't get the results until my CT is done next Wed. (My onc is out of town til' then).
I keep telling myself that a recurrence after 2 years out is not a probability...and you should remind yourself the same with it being almost five...but I know, cancerhead sometimes doesn't listen to reason. As much as I try to "forget about it" because I am reminded by my husband it is needless to worry when there's nothing to do but wait for now...it creeps up and I can barely think of anything else...
I am wishing you the best...and I agree with the others, push to get into the lab, there's no reason to wait so long for a simple test. Tell them you will bother them until it's done, and they will miraculously find the time to squeeze you in...

O dear, Bertha. I hope this is "just" cancerhead rearing its ugly head. You have been through so much. Other things that might cause these issues? Hypothyroidism. Low red blood cell count. Problems with HRT if you are using HRT. Change in diet. Change in water. Low or high blood sugar. I hope they will give you a good checking over and hope you'll be able to come back and tell us things are okay, and it was "just" cancerhead. Warmest of good wishes to you.

Bertha,
I am sending prayers and hugs your way! It is a terrible feeling to feel something wrong and have to wait for the results! I just went through a similar issue where I was feeling pain and the same symptoms I had pre-dx and the scan revealed I did not have recurrence. I did have a couple of other things wrong but it wasn't a recurrence. I will be praying that yours is not one either!!!! Hang in there!
