Post op Appt-Frequency? Scared

HI,

With TVT does anyone know what the frequency of appt's consist of? Is there more than the 2 week checkup? What do they do at them? How do they determine when you have to go back?
Thanks, not ready to go back yet. Still tired, not up all day yet. I am so afraid they will not regard how I feel. When I got the papers signed for work Dr. office said 6 weeks on my papers for disability. I really want to take the full 6 weeks. My job in really stressful and I am so tired and not sleeping. I still wake up with pain. I will be 2 weeks Post op Tuesday.
Help! Anyone

Thanks

~Hi Sister~
Please try not to worry too much. TELL your dr. at your 2 week checkup that you are NOT ready to go back to work! I did, and will have 4 weeks off. I had the LSH which is supposed to have a shorter recovery time but we all heal differently! Probably from having a caeserian and several miscarraiges, one tubal, in the past. I knew I was not ready to go back at 2 weeks! Doctors should not disregard how you feel, and employers just want you ready to go at full speed when you return! Write down any questions you have for your appt. tomorrow and please let us know how it goes! I will have a 6 week post-op checkup, also. Do whatever it takes to relax and heal!!!

Well, I had a 2-week f/u and then he asked to see me in 3 weeks. When I went back in for the 3-week c/u, he did an internal to check on the progress of my healing. He said I was right on track and then said he didn't have to see me for another 3 months.

You should be able to take the full 6 weeks especially if you emphasize to your doc how stressful your job is. Good luck!
