Anyone ever heard of Qi deficency

I ran into a old friend in town recently . After bringing her up to date whats been going on in my life, she told me that she works for a clinic where they perform theraputic massage for things like Qi deficency which she thought I seemed to have. Now I had no idea what this was so I googled it and I really do seem to have all those symptoms.I also found that there are natural herbs you can take but not sure which is which. Just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this stuff. Still constipated and willing to try anything ! Thanks girls !

I've been seeing an acupuncturist for several years. Although I've mostly been treated for stagnant Qi, I think Qi deficiency is pretty common post-operatively. A lot of my recent sessions have been about strengthening and nurturing the Qi.

I personally credit acupuncture with the ease and speed of my recovery. I'm not sure about therapeutic massage (is it tui na or something else?), but if you suspect you have a Qi deficiency, you should seek out a licensed practitioner of Chinese medicine, either an acupuncturist or herbalist.

Chi/Qi is your body's energy, the way I understand it. Many forms of body work (massage, energy work, etc) can positively affect your chi/qi.

I believe in the power of touch, so I think it could help. Of course, you want to be sure your doctor has cleared you for body work.
