anxiety and hrt

MY doctor switched me from hrt to bcp's because of my anxiety and she said it would help my skin.
She said my ovaries are working some times and causing hormonal ups and downs. I have been on the bcp for 7 weeks but am still getting anxiety. I wake in the night with it.
She said I could use divigel at night but this has not helped.
Isn't this a lot of estrogen?
Any one can help with this anxiety?

Hi,
Maybe your body was doing better with hrt. Were you on bio identical HRT or synthetic? the bcp are definitely synthetic. I can only use climara patch. Its made from soy and is bioidentical. I also use a natural progesterone , not progesterone pills. Something to think about. I was going to suggest natural progesterone but if you are taking bcps then you would have a synthetic progesterone. Maybe switch to bio identicals? Did you try magnesium and calcium during the day? esp. magnesium. That helps relax me. You may want to try B vitamins. If you look on the home page of Hystersisters they have an article about what estrogen depletes in your system. Magnesium is one of them. I use a powdered magnesium that I mix with water. I used to take it twice a day but now I just take it at night. too much magnesium can give you diarrhea. I had to experiment but it helped with the anxiety.
