How long was surgery?

Just wondering (again)

How long was (or is) your surgery? I was told that mine is expected to last 4 hours. And that was considered a long surgery.

I found this out when I was scheduling- My Dr does 1 long and 1 short surgery per day. My surgery includes doing a sling...I think.

How long was surgery?

I assume it depends on what kind you are having. I am having modified radical, and was told between 3-4 hours. I am sure laps are much shorter since there is no incision to sew up.

How long was surgery?

Mine was about 2 hours - TAH-BSO Bikini incision. Had to wait for pathologist to do his work, but I guess my doctor was suturing inside during that time until the report came back.

How long was surgery?

It depends on the type of surgery. Mine was scheduled and attempted using the DaVinci Robot. My doc told me 4-5 hours. Once he began the surgery and saw the problems I had on the right side, he switched to open abdominal. I was in surgery for 4 1/2 hours.

How long was surgery?

I had LAVH and I was initially told like 2 hours depending on what they found once they were in there. My surgery was 4 hours because of adhesions. Love Beth

How long was surgery?

Mine was two hours. I had quite a bit done in that time, too. I had: tvh, perinealplasty, rectocele repair, and urethral sling.

How long was surgery?

My surgery was 7 hours but I saw an endometriosis excision specialist and he cut out the endo in my body along with cutting out the adhesions that that he saw. Along with the removal of my uterus, my cervix, part of my vagina, my left ovary, my appendix, and half of my right ovary were removed as well due to disease as well as removal of disease on my bowels.

It truly depends upon what your doctor is doing in the surgery as to how long it will be.

How long was surgery?

Hello,
I've been told to plan on 4.5 hours for the DVH. I think a lot of things may factor in such as what was being done and how extensive the surgery is going to be.
Good Luck to you!

How long was surgery?

My surgery, TAH BSO, was four hours. As has been said here, depends on the extent of what the surgeon needs to do.
