where are your ovaries located exactly.

I was wondering exactly where are your ovaries located. I have been having this pain on my left side. It happens while I am at work. It isn't continous, it comes and goes. But the first time it hapened it stayed with me all night, coming and going. But now it comes every once in awhile and goes away and doesn't last that long. It is right between my belly button and incision and about a finger lenght over to the left. When I press lightly right there I feel a small lump. Could that be my ovarie. I do slow down when it starts hurting, but was wondering what it could be from?? It isn't painful enough to warrant a call to the Dr. It does go away. I had a TAH and kept my ovaries.

aware,
I have a similar pain at times. I always assumed it was an anchor stitch. (The final stitch at the end of an incission) Under my skin is another horizontal incision I believe in the muscle tissue. In that same spot on both sides I can sometimes feel pulling and a tinge of pain when I do too much. Does this sound like your pain?

Aware: If I remember from anatomy class, the ovaries are about two inches below your bellybutton, if you put your fist there, your ovaries should be one on either side of your fist. Does this help?

Yeah that explanation of a fist helps. And the pain is right in that area when it occurs. Yeah I knew about the anchor stitch but my pain isn't near the incision.
