Unhappy - Endo and Fibro? Endo and Fibro?

Has anyone been dx'd with Fibromyalgia since their hyster? The pain I felt from the endo I had is gone, but now I have widespread, all over pain...real pain, no the 'pain is in your head' kind of pain. Luckily, I am married to a VERY understand nurse practitioner, who listens to me and offers advice, but as a man, there are some things he just can't understand! help?! Lyrica worked, but made me blow up like a balloon, I am already on Effexor (was on before my hyster), have tried Neurontin and it did nothing. Anybody else have any advice??

Endo and Fibro?

If you do some research you will find that there are many women who have endometriosis and unfortunately, a whole host of other conditions such as fibromyalgia, IBS, IC, migraines, chronic fatigue, etc. If you check out my sig line below, you will see that I have a bunch of them!

My best advice is to find a physician who treats fibro. Some patients see a rheumatologist and others see a neurologist. I have a neurologist and he has been very helpful for me. Additionally, you might want to see endometriosis specialist who understands endo and how it affects the entire body.

Some lifestyle changes can be helpful along with exercise, eating well, managing stress, getting enough rest, massage, etc.

Sending you lots of best wishes and S!
