Larger Underpants?

If the surgery is being done as a TVH do you still recommend purchasing larger size underpants for after the surgery or is that recommendation only for abdominal surgeries?

Hi Sue I had a TVH, and I did need a size larger for a while. Those of us who have TVH's aren't immune to swelly belly, unfortunately.

The recommendation for a size larger of underpants is not because of the type of procedure you have done, it is for the swelling afterwards that you will experience. No matter what type of procedure you have you will still experience swelly belly and the tightness of undies on it will be uncomfortable and could make you swell more if it is to tight because it will aggravate it.

I did get a package of giant underwears. Big cotton granny panties. My mom laughed at them. but i was so happy I did. I had a lap procedure, but my belly was still very sensitive. and tight underwear was the last thing i wanted.
