Vein Lump under Breast post Lumpectomies and Radiation

Okay,

I had DCIS of the right breast in 2005 which warranted 2 lumpectomies, Radiation and am currently in my 3rd year of Tamoxifen with low dose aspirin therapy.

I also had a TAH BSO with appendectomy and gallbladder removal in June 2006.

This July, I tore some ligaments in my aankle and had a cast on for a few weeks. I awoke n July 28, with pain and have a cordlike vein which now has a ball bearing size lump of the vein under the right breast.

My oncologist had ordered a bone scan and rib cage x-ray series which came back negative.

There is no fever or significant inflammation at the site of the abdominal. I went to the ER and they performed an ultrasound which was negative as well.

I went to the vascular surgeoun who performed the appendectomy and he said to take a wait and see approach.

I can't help but think that the combination of the immobility of the right foot combined with the Tamoxifen regimen, there is a possibility that I threw a clot.

Anyone have been in a similar situation?

Any words of wisdom would be so very much appreciated.
