Urethra Strictures?????

Went to the Uro today to have my bladder scan done which became extremely painful!!! Had to dialate the urethra cause of strictures. In addition he found the bladder to be inflammed however does not show infection.

Have to follow up in 6 weeks after medicine regiment to double check the inflammation is down and the dialation of the urethra worked, he stated if not onto Plan "B". I was in so much pain I didnt even ask what that meant.

So my question is anyone have this and if so what the heck can plan b possibly be???

Thanks Ladies.

Urethra Strictures?????

chipmunk--

I am so sorry you had to have this painful test done. Ouch! No fair and No fun! Does your URO suspect I.C. or something like that? If you don't have any idea what he's talking about, why not just ask him? It's what I've had to learn to do myself.

I know it's not easy either. Sometimes we feel like we are 'bothering' the doctor with all our questions but truly, we are their 'consumers' and we really do deserve answers to our questions. Also, if you are in pain, you really shouldn't have to wait another 6 weeks (or 5 weeks or 4 weeks) until you get an answer as to why you are hurting and what you can do about it for now.

Whether or not you have IC, sometimes those websites designed for patients with that condition can give you tips on what to do when you have a painful, inflamed bladder. You may want to check out ichelp.org or ic-network.com. Both of those websites have good reputations and are highly recommended.

I do hope you find hope, help, and information for your condition.

Sending you extra good vibes..........
