Difference between estradiol and Premarin?

Do you know what is the difference between Estradiol and Premarin? I'm very uninformed, but trying to learn. I didn't even know about patches, etc. I still have ovaries, but no uterus, and am going thru menopause. The patch sounds interesting.

(.9mg Premarin - doing better, but having more frequent issues of migraines and dizziness)

Estradiol is the hormone our ovaries made before we go into menopause, and Premarin largely consists from conjugated estrogens and no estradiol.

Some do well on Premarin, while others can get headaches or other symptoms.

i don't know the difference, but i like the estradiol ALOT better than premarin. on the premarin it was like i had nothing in me at all, i was put on the estradiol(pill) in Feb of this yr. and it is great. i think i may need to go up on the dose though, i am on the lowest but i am having some minor problems and need to go see my dr again.
