Midnight at the Oasis

Okay...it's not always midnight.....but usually between midnight and 3 AM...I had a tvh and am 11 days post op...and the last couple of nights have been horrible. I have my ovaries but still am waking up with horrible night sweats and hot flashes.....can anyone give me any advice or tell me now long this will last?

Midnight at the Oasis

Hi Teri,

Sorry you're going through this. Everyone's different, but I had this for about 5 weeks, until my remaining ovary "kicked in". I knew it "kicked in" because I had an episode of PMS symptoms, but of course, no period followed. Anyway, I was happy to trade the occasional PMS for the night sweats! Hang in there, and call your Dr. He might have some way to give you some relief, though I didn't take anything...but then again, I didn't ask for anything.

My very best to you...

Linda
