It's Monday, September 29th

Good Morning my BEST friends!

I haven't taken the time to peek in at BEST the last few days, just into chatter for updates. But I see that we are not very busy in here with our food challenges. Just because summer is officially over doesn't mean we shouldn't keep posting, journaling, walking, and staying healthy.

Today is more hospital sitting for me. But my food choices have been very limited and I've stayed away from all the bad choices available. Although if I stay out of the cafeteria and just eat at the Atrium area...my choices aren't too bad. I've become Jared of Subway. I walk down get my 6 inch sub on wheat with low fat toppings, and walk back with it to eat in DH's room while he eats. I know I've lost a few pounds doing this.

I'll get in plenty of walking today. I've got to take all of DH's belongings out to the car by this evening. He'll change rooms via the ER and they said that things have a way of not getting where they are going. So I'll just put stuff in the car and bring stuff back up as he's feeling up to it.
I've also been walking once in the mornings before I leave for the hospital and once in the evenings once I get home, just to help me unwind.

I've managed to stay with my Women's Challenge and I'm well on the way to my second destination. My goal is to make all the walks on the map. We'll see.

Ok...I need to get moving.

Good morning Nancy, and all following later...
Glad you are able to continue your walking, and Jared did have a good weight outcome...keep remembering, it's just for a season!

I wasn't too OP yesterday...food at our ESL class...and I chose to eat it...
will try harder today.

It's Monday, September 29th

Hi Nancy, Ali, and all who follow

I know I won't meet the goals for the Womens Challenge this week - I forgot to use my pedometer several days in a row. I honestly can't even remember what I did to guesstimate steps - not much I don't think. It's been a rather sediator few days.

Bkft: 1 egg w/toast, coffee
Lunch: I don't think we ate? I'm not sure... :humm:
Dinner: 1 pc crab quiche w/side salad. Neighbors are wonderful things.

Have been keeping away from the snacks. That's a good thing. Busy day today with putzing around the houe making sure everything is in place for those who care to visit after the funeral tomorrow. Have tons of cakes, brownies, lovely fruit tray an anonymous person dropped off? It simply appeared in our fridge yesterday. Today a florest delivered a fruit basket. It's really pretty - it's got CANDY in it? Milk Duds, Snickers, Milky Ways, etc.... I'm not toughing it. MIL's bringing a pot of chili and we're gonna order subs and cut them up in small pieces. Should feed an army without much work at all.

No walk this evening as I planned. My other neighbor bailed on me. She said she had a cake to bake - for me.... I told her I'd rather we walked. There's no swaying her - she thinks we need another cake.

Off to iron some laundry
