lower pelvic pain 1 week post op from vaginal hysterectomy

Hello I am 37 and had a vaginal hysterectomy one week ago. Along with this I also had my bladder repositioned. Today I have moderate lower pelvic pain and am not sure if this is just normal or is a concern.

hi bailey, I just had my TVH 10 days ago, and the pain was insignificant the past couple days then today I had sharp pains all morning...i imagine it will be intermittent like this for a while
we can't see our incisions, so it's so hard to know what's going on in there, ya know?
hope you are feeling better

Thanks for giving me your feedback it is always nice to hear from other women who have gone through this. How long did your doctor tell you to wait to have a bath?

Bailey: I had my TVH two months ago. I still get pressure "down there." But it isn't as bad as it was in the begining. My DR told me I could take a bath immediately. But my discharge nurse in the castle told me to wait until I had my two week checkup. I agreed with her. I didn't want to risk any kind of infection.

I had pain or pressure for nearly 4 weeks off and on. The first few were the worst. It does get better, hang in there!

2 weeks after the op I also get slight pains or pressure down there - especially if I've been a bit too active
