Another procedure and night in hospital!! :(

Last week my dr found even more of the perm sutures poking out of me. WHen trying to get in there and cut them I was in a lot of pain. She realized that these sutures were continuing to errode through my tissue and that she needed to really get deep in there to get it out. So...Monday we scheduled a procedure under General Anesthesia. She had her partner join for a second opinion since my case has been so rare since the rupture of the cuff. I woke up in recovery in horrid pain that was not relieved until they gave me morphine. They decided to admit me overnight due to pain management. The next morning my dr informed me that what was happening is the semi-perm sutures from the cuff were dissolving in pieces then breaking off and coming through the tissues (I actually held one- it was like hard plastic). She said during the procedure she could see just under the first layer of cuff where it was about to poke through so she made a small incision and pulled it out. I also mentioned how sore I was at the opening...she informed me that during the procedure-in trying to get in there and up there, I had a little tear (kinda like when you tear during childbirth if you don't get the epesiotomy). It didn't require stitches but MAN does it HURT!
So....I got home from the hospital -now 3rd visit after hysto -last night. Its sad when I knew all of the nurses and they all knew me! I realized since my hysto I have been in that hospital 11 nights!! I woke up today soooo sore. I feel like I gave birth to a 12 lb baby -everything feels so sore and stretched and beat up in there. I am walking like I did after my other surgeries as well as the rip 'down there' makes sitting up difficult too! Anyone know how to make that heal faster?
The good news is -she said that the cuff looks very healed and sturdy and strong. We are just praying this is the end of the chaos and I can now be healed darn it!
Thought I would send an update since my case is so rare and crazy!!

I'm so sorry for your long ordeal. You must be very strong to have gone through all this. Just think if you made it this far you can handle anything! Hugs.

SB: I am so sorry to hear that you had to go back to the castle. Hopefully this will be the last time. I thought since the cuff nightmare, things would be better. You are in my prayers.

Another procedure and night in hospital!! :(

Thanks so much for the support! I have been through soooo much it makes my head spin! I am in SOOO much pain today! I went in for this 'procedure' thinking it was nothing compared to what I have been through -but...I am in a LOT of pain today. I feel like my vaginal walls have been stretched and beaten. It is a very different feeling than the hysto or vaginal cuff. I am trying to remain strong and know everyone in my world is so sick of hearing about my 'story' and really - -don't even have much sympathy b/c me being in pain is just a given now. But I am having a rough time today - - -I had ANOTHER surgery and as much as I went in with high hopes and a light hearted attitude -today now at home and out of the hospital and with nurses to take care of me -I am in pain!! I am so tired of being in pain!!!! Why has all of this happened to me>>>>>????

Sorry -I am almost delerious with pain and just rambeling. I am going to take a darvacet and go to bed. Thanks for reading the ramble mumbo jumbo. I am just so tired of this. My dr suggested I write a book -she said I should title it "Me and my vagina" I told her -I could, but I really don't think anyone would really want to READ it!

Swellybelly333:
Unfortunately that is the case with a lot of us... after the initial surgery and recovery time, our support system seems to dwindle... That is why this site is so amazing... Your "sisters" are hear to listen and send HUGS.
Some here have been thru so much, and understand what it is like to have complications...
Hang in there... sounds like they are getting to the bottom of your problem and better days are ahead.
