Pampered Princess and loving it!

Wow, I am shocked that its been 12 days already!
I guess I am writing this to reassure those out there that are nervous and or stressed about their surgeries.

My surgery went very well. Despite the fact that I had an ENORMOUS cyst that had ruptured the weekend before my surgery, my Dr said everything else just went perfectly.
She told me postop that the cyst rupture did surprise her and they first had to go in and clean up ALOT of fluid in my pelvis but after that, once she took a look at my right ovary and uterus, she was very glad that together we had made this decision. My right ovary was just horrible and very diseased looking as was my uterus.
The great part for me is that my left ovary in my Dr's words, was just perfect and so she left it behind. YAY!!! No HRT, yet. Hot flashes are a little worse, night sweats too, but not intolerable.

Pain has been easily managed so far, and no real issues.

I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY I DID THIS!!!!!!! AUGH!!!!! I want to run around and yell WOO HOO!!!!!!
It's hard to explain, but the minute I came out of surgery I felt better. Maybe its all in my head, but if it is, too bad!

The lower back/pelvic pain that hurt so badly for years is gone, even though my stomach is swollen I don't have that horrible bloated yucky feeling anymore!!!!!

So I think the biggest thing I would pass on to others is:

REST, REST, REST REST!!!! Take it so easy and listen to your body!!!!
I overdid it a little 6 days post op and realized how important rest is, that and being yelled at by my Dr. (she is a friend) now I am the obedient little princess....

Wishing the best to every Princess out there!!!!!
