Problems related to HRT?

I had my TVH in April 2007 and just now was put on Estradiol 1mg tablet last Wed. I am feeling finally like my old self with more energy. no more depression, hot flashes and night sweats gone. But I have noticed that it is hard for me to have a bm and my stomach is starting to look like I am bloated. I have always tried to watch my weight and after reading some of these posts I am really concerned about putting on weight. The other problem I am having is severe leg cramps and tingling in my left foot. I am having a mammogram on Tuesday because I am having problems with my left breast. I have had problems with it for years with it being very sore to touch and pain at times runs thru it and I always have to go back for more looking at the breast after a mammogram. It is real dense. So now my new dr has already scheduled me a appt with a surgeon to follow up with after my mammogram. I am also having a ct on my pelvic and abdomen on this day because I have had on two different occasions severe pain on my right side where i don't have a ovary. I had TVH but they left left ovary for hormones. I am having full blood work up on this day to see if it is even working. My other concern is she put me on hormone before all these tests and what if I have something major wrong with my breast?! Is it common to have the symptoms I am having with my bm's and with the leg cramps with taking hormones? Thanks for any advice on this.

Problems related to HRT?

Hi (((((mississippi3)))))

While I am, by far, not an expert on HRT: my doctor has refused to put on them due to on-going, un-resolved health issues, I think that it is very likely that the constipation and leg cramps could be side-effects of the Estradiol.

Please call your doctor ASAP, to report these symptoms. Should your leg(s) become swollen, read and/or hot to the touch, head for the ER as it could be a sign of a deep vein trombosis.

in there and please let us know what the doctor says.
