Finally Scheduled

Got the date for my surgery Friday, after 4 plus months of tests and waiting. November 5th, check in at hospital 11:00 am, surgery 1:00. Dr. said I will be in at least 24 to 36 hours depending upon how I'm doing. The plan is to do the hysterectomy vaginally but he did warn there is the possibility that he may have to do a bikini cut after it's started.

After my GYN has done his thing, my Urologist will come and do his.

I am so looking forward to being able to stand and walk for more than 15 to 20 without pain or having to run to the bathroom.

I just had my LAVH last Tuesday and all is going well. My doctor also advised me that they may have to cut as well, but everything went as planned. Considering that my uterus was quite enlarged I am surprised.
As everyone will tell you - don't be a hero, take the pain meds when you need them. Good luck.
