Bleeding post op 2nd and 3rd week

Hi girls!! I am new here, and I am in need of information regarding my LSAH. I had my surgery on Sept 24, the first week went very well. The second week I had a UTI. Now I am having spotting and spasm like feelings on my lower right abdomen. My Physician said I am having some glandular tissue from the cervix that is bleeding. Has anyone encountered this problem yet? Any suggestions on how to have the bleeding stop?

Bleeding post op 2nd and 3rd week

I'm not sure if I can help. But I had a TAH, RSO on Sept,. 23 and in the middle of week to of recovery I started bleeding also.
I called my doc and she said that was normal because of all the recovery going on the your body. I don't have my cervix anymore, but a small amount of bleeding is okay. She asked if it was pink or dark red. I told her it was pink and she said that was okay.
If you bleeding is dark red, then it is probably new blood that should be checked out. If it's pinkish or brown, it's just old blood clearing out of your body.
Either way, I'd make an appt. with the doc and see what's up.

Please insist that your dr see you and treat you.. I have had bleeding since day one and the dr keep saying it is normal. We are talking mensral flows after hysterectomy with clots. Dr saw and said I was healing. Now 4 months post op I not bleeding like that but occassionally he reallizes that my vaginal cuff is not healing.

From my experience I urge you to get checked and ask questions. Even if you have to call him everyday. I know I should have but I didn't want to bother him. It is there responsibility to take care of you and make you feel worry free.

Good luck and I hope you feel better. I will pray for you. Sending you big hugs.
