Swollen belly

Hello all,

It has been 3 months since my partial hysterectomy, I am experiencing a lot of lower abdominal pain, constant urination, lower back aches, and swollen belly. My gyn gave me a transvaginal and abdominal sonogram, she did not see anything abnormal in the sonogram, also, she could not find my ovaries. She said that they could be floating around somewhere. Is anyone having any of these issues? I feel like I am about to give birth most of the time. I am seeing my urologist on Monday, to see if I have a bladder problem.

Swollen belly

Hi Emerald522 -

Sorry to hear you are experiencing these problems - 3 months post op. I am only 7 weeks post op (today) and I feel fine. My tummy still seems to be puffy, but I am urinating ok and no back pain.

I wonder what the problem could be?

It's also weird that your Gyn said your Ovaries are floating around somewhere....like they are lost in space. I kept my Ovaries too and hope they are not "lost". I asked my Gyn what happens to the Ovaries when the Uterus is removed and she said they are still attached in the Pelvic cavity.

I hope things get better for you - keep us posted of your condition.
Take Care!!!
