Question - Abdominal Distension Abdominal Distension

Since the endo became really bad (over the last year) I've gained about 25 lbs.
Some of it is just plain weight gain - too many calories and not enough activity. The pain and medication make me lethargic.

But, it looks like I am 6 months pregnant! This is not normal.

I eat a fairly healthy vegetarian diet - low in fat and refined sugars. Limited dairy - lots of fruits, veggies and nuts. I've reduced my normally high soy intake due to the plant estrogens. I do eat a lot of carbs.

Has anyone else experienced a notable increase in their belly?

Abdominal Distension

I am a very thin person and my belly has always been "pouchy". Even more so right before my surgery. I figure it was because I had a cyst the size of my uterus on my ovary.

Abdominal Distension

I had really bad shoulder, neck and head aches until I had breast reduction surgery in September. Since, I've been able to discontinue my Advil use.. 8 to 12 a day.

As a result, I've seen what endo can do..what my Doctor and I thought was cyclical water retention has reared its ugly head as endo inflammation.. my stomach blew up like a balloon!! I look pregnant... I'm scheduled for a LSH on Nov 10 and until then I'm on celbrex to keep the inflammation down as I can not take Advil due to bleeding concerns.

Abdominal Distension

I have that belly too! it's quite frustrating because over the summer I lost some weight (went down a pant size) and I still have the belly -- I'm trying to lose more weight because I think that eating better (less sugar and caffeine especially) and excersising really helps my endo. but I would love it if the belly fat would reduce a little. every morning I go through the ritual of looking in the full length mirror head on thinking "ok that looks good" then turning to the side and thinking "ugh" - I'm trying to just avoid the side view as much as possible!

Abdominal Distension

I have a small one (3 cm) in the uterus but other than that nothing as far as they can tell. I suppose it is possible that there are more that they can't see on any tests.

I have 4 or 5 and they keep telling me...."they're small and probably don't cause any problems"... Hmmmmmmmmmm I might disagree with that... LOL

Abdominal Distension

No fibroids (that I know of)
I had an exploratory in 2005 to check things out and remove some"chocolate" cysts. I just had a lapro and the Dr never mentioned fibroids. Just endo, more little cysts and adhesions/scar tissue.

My stomach, in the last few months, is just swollen! It's huge!
Sometimes it's hard sometimes it's soft.
Sometimes my pants barely fit. (dress slacks are not very giving)
I usually wear a 10 but these days I am wearing a 14.
